Ship. Shop. Shoop.

Whisper Theatre Collective invites you into Shoop!, a luxury shipping and packing facility. Clients coming to Shoop spend top dollars to receive the BEST treatment for themselves and their packages, complete with healing energy rituals. According to CEO and lifestyle guru, Gabriel (breath), Shoop is not only a business of luxury - it is the business of one’s spirit. When a computer malfunction causes the company to spiral into chaos, the employees must uphold the spirit of Shoop, even as company and client secrets threaten to be revealed. The ensemble members use physical comedy, partner acrobatics, and each actor playing multiple characters to perform this fast-paced, hilarious production.

Whisper Theatre is an ensemble-devised theatre company from Chicago that combines Lecoq based physical theatre, dance, and circus to tell stories that whisper to us through the cracks in the sidewalk. We love the darker truths that go unspoken - mysterious  phenomenon, characters that lurk in the darkness, the other side of daily life. Whisper was created by members of Columbia College Chicago’s first European Devised Performance MFA cohort, who all serve as co-Artistic Directors. All shows are created by the ensemble, and they frequently collaborate with international artists.

Richie Schiraldi is a Chicago-based physical theatre and circus performer (and a carpenter!), specializing in partner acrobatics, physical comedy/clown, and ensemble movement work. Most recently, he performed in Comedy of Errors (Bumbellini -Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Le Taste of Jean-Pierre (self-produced international farce in Berlin), and has been touring with Whisper since 2019. Pre-pandemic, he also performed across the city at freelance gigs and variety shows, and hopes to step back into that world when it's appropriate.

Brittany Price Anderson is a theatre maker, curator, and performer that has worked in Chicago since 2012. Favorite experiences include: original cast member of Theater Unspeakable’s The American Revolution, pro-training circus student at Actors Gymnasium, co-curator of Physical Festival’s Scratch Night, and writer of Whisper Theatre’s Wild Women. She is also a part time professor in Theatre and Comedy Studies at Columbia College Chicago.

Gabrielle Wilson. Originally from New Jersey, Gabrielle is a theatre artist, movement director, educator, and creator. She has been working in Chicago since 2015 and continues to work nationally and internationally. She is currently a part-time professor of Theatre at Columbia College Chicago and a member of the Association of Theatre Movement Educators.

Fate Richey is a creator, performer, dancer, clown and movement teacher previously based out of Texas, where she graduated with her BA in Theatre. As a newcomer to the Chicago scene, Fate has performed her original work at Heels Over Head, The Third Mask Festival, and other Chicago spaces, and has worked with Luna Nova Theatre on multiple devised works.
